Chef Melissa Araujo is Executive Chef and Owner of Alma, the acclaimed Honduran Cuisine pop-up that was recently featured in Gambit and is notably the first pop-up to be invited to NOWFE. Chef Melissa was classically trained, but left CIA to do an internship in Milan, Italy, after which she stayed to work for 9 years. Upon her return to New Orleans, Chef Melissa worked for celebrity and renowned chefs including Susan Spicer, John Folse, Rich Tramonto, and Alon Shaya. Chef Melissa is also a proponent of farm-to-table and the proprietor of Saveur Catering, a boutique catering company.
